Heidi is an Iowa native who has called five other states home and has had the opportunity to travel throughout many countries around the world. She is a graduate of Mount Mercy University’s M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy program and has most recently been working in private practice, providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families.
Heidi's theory of change is that we have the tools within us to create the change we desire. However, we need at least three things in order to access them: 1) Accountability 2) Courage to stop negotiating with comfort and do what must be done, and 3) a Catalyst for empowerment to sharpen critical thinking, elevate communication, and embrace new perspectives.
Outside of her professional life, Heidi is a recreational endurance athlete with a passion for pushing her own physical limits. She is also an avid reader, loves to travel, and firmly believes that sometimes the best way to wash away stress is to turn up the music and dance in the kitchen.
