Student Government Association

The Student Government Association (SGA) represents Mount Mercy University's student body. SGA provides direction and support for student clubs, organizations, and committees, and works to promote and create a positive and vibrant campus life.

About SGA

As the official body of clubs, organizations, and student representation on the Mount Mercy campus, our purpose is:

  • To serve as the official voice of all students in matters pertaining to the Mount Mercy community
  • To serve as a liaison between students and faculty and administration on issues that affect students on campus and at local, state, and national levels
  • To promote student growth and awareness through direct supervision of all appointed or elected representatives by the SGA Executive Council.

The SGA believes in leading through service and works to develop leadership in its members as well as the entire student body. The SGA General Assembly is open to all students and is held on the first Monday of every month during the school year at 3:30 PM in Donnelly Room 300.
