Posted: June 14, 2019

Mount Mercy University, Martin-Herold College of Nursing & Health, is pursuing initial accreditation of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Applying for accreditation does not guarantee that accreditation will be granted. CCNE ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate, and residency programs in nursing. The CCNE site visitors will be on campus from September 11-13, 2019.

In accordance with the CCNE accreditation procedures for baccalaureate and graduate programs in nursing, the Commission provides the opportunity for program constituents and other interested parties to submit third-party comments concerning a program’s qualifications for accreditation. These comments must relate to the CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs (2018). All third-party comments must be written in English, consistent with CCNE's policy on Conduct of Business in English and be received by CCNE by August 21, 2019. Comments are shared only with the CCNE evaluation team appointed to review the DNP program but at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program. If you would like to submit comments, please send them directly by email to: or by mail to: Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Attn: Third-Party Comments, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750 Washington, DC 20001
