What are the required courses?

Graduate certificates require 12-13 credit hours and can be applied toward an MBA or MSL. Select four courses below.

This course will provide the historical context of quality management and introduce quality management systems, including Total Quality Management (TQM), ISO, the National Baldrige Award, Lean, and Six Sigma. Guest lecturers from the community, who are specialists in quality management, will be part of this course.

The goal of this course is to give students the effective tools and knowledge to accomplish successful project management. Learn how projects get started, how to successfully manage a project and its resources, and how organizations select the "right" project to work on.

With ever-increasing global sales, the demand and sophistication of customers have forced companies to embrace total quality programs to have the competitive edge in pricing, service, and performance. This course examines how total quality applications are best used to drive organizational sustainability while competing in an international marketplace.

This course focuses on developing sustainable supply chain solutions that provide the best TCO in the industrial, consumer, and service sectors. Students will be equipped to analyze and evaluate the quality of supply chain management in any organization while ensuring it's deeply integrated into every aspect of business.

The course covers theories and practices that balance commercial gain against long-term natural preservation goals. Topics include sustainable growth policies, product and process design, and the impact of corporate practices on consumers and communities. Local, national, and global public policy and corporate environmental practices will be examined.
