Mount Mercy University’s President’s Lecture to explore learning, success, and fulfillment

Mount Mercy University will virtually host Dr. Zena Hitz to deliver the annual President’s Lecture on Tuesday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m.

“The purpose of the President’s Lecture is to intellectually engage our campus community in a matter of importance as it relates to our Catholic and Mercy identity and vision,” said Interim President Tim Laurent. “We are looking forward to welcoming Dr. Hintz as this year's President's Lecturer."

Dr. Hitz will present “Leisure, Learning, and Happiness.”

Dr. Hitz is a tutor at St. John’s College and teaches across the liberal arts. Trained as a scholar in classical philosophy, her 2020 book, Lost in Thought, has been widely discussed in The Wall Street Journal, Commonweal, The Chronicle of Higher Education, and Public Discourse.
