Mount Mercy Enactus club partners with African Women Empowered to make masks

Mount Mercy’s Enactus club has partnered with a local group of African refugees, African Women Empowered, to create and sell cloth masks. The project is called Cloth for a Cause.

“Our goal with this project is to provide masks for the public to wear, provide masks for local nonprofits that may have as much accessibility to PPE as hospitals, and provide the African Refugees with an opportunity to earn a livable wage while working to serve their community,” said Payton Stabb, vice president of projects for MMU’s Enactus club.
Mount Mercy has purchased 70 masks for students who remain on campus.
Masks can be bought at Cloth for Cause’s Etsy page.
