Mount Mercy University recognized Maximilian Rieger with the prestigious President’s Award at Honors Convocation on Friday, May 15.

The President’s Award is given each year to a graduating student who has demonstrated a strong academic record, positive engagement in the campus community and service to others during their tenure at Mount Mercy. This award honors people in circumstances that illustrate the best in student tenacity, dedication, compassion and heart.

Rieger—a triple major in psychology, human resource management and management—was an especially engaged and driven student. He volunteered his time to tutor financial management students, led a team for the CFA Institute Research Challenge and participated in various research projects.

Rieger spent four years on the varsity men’s soccer team and served as a volunteer assistant this past year. He was also a resident assistant and intern in the Office of Marketing & Communications.

Congratulations, Max!
