Meet Allie Lanham, owner of The Hangry Lady! Allie graduated from Washington High School in 2014, while in high school she lost 60 lbs, everything she learned from that journey lead her to finding her passion: food and health. Allie then went to Kirkwood Community College and earned a two year associates in dietetics, changed her major, and entered Kirkwood's Culinary Arts Program earning her Culinary Degree in 2019.

In Culinary School, Allie was a part of the Competition team, winning first place at the Riverside Culinary classic and second place at the Iowa Pork Producers Competition. Allie was also the first recipient of the Chef Basil's Culinary Scholarship. Immediately after graduation, Allie became the Chef de Cuisine at Caucho for almost two years, during that time she was named as one of the '40 Women to Watch' by the Iowa Restaurant Association.

She then moved on to be the Executive Chef at Popoli for six months. Allie thought of the name "The Hangry Lady" five years ago, and dreamt of opening her own business one day, so when Popoli closed, Allie decided to conquer her fears and follow her dream with a determination to provide her community with good food.
