Graduates of Mount Mercy University’s marketing program are among the top creative forces behind many of eastern Iowa’s most successful companies.

Mount Mercy understands building a successful business is about more than just creating new products and keeping the books straight — organizations need skilled professionals comfortable with problem solving, relationship building, and analytical and critical thinking. Student success after graduation is a product of the accomplished faculty and multifaceted experience opportunities gained through the university’s exceptional marketing major.

Graduates leave the Hill with in-depth knowledge of business fundamentals such as law, management, accounting and economics, while a variety of electives such as international marketing, creative campaign implementation, graphic design, visual technology and professional selling, make Mount Mercy’s marketing degree multi-dimensional. Specializations and double majors are also encouraged — popular fields include communications and psychology — making a degree even more customizable.

Class work often involves applying newly learned knowledge as students work alongside respected business professionals in a variety of business-related areas. Mount Mercy graduates are prepared for careers in advertising, marketing communications, retail management, sales and marketing research.

To further career preparation, marketing program students involve themselves with Mount Mercy’s award-winning Enactus club, providing service to businesses in eastern Iowa and competing at national championships.
