Amelia Frimml ’25 is from Marengo, Iowa, and majored in Secondary Education.
Amelia was a student leader on campus, serving as Student Government Association President in 2024. In addition, she was an Admission Ambassador and was vice president of the Future Educators Club.
Amelia is grateful for the meaningful connections she made at Mount Mercy and the opportunities she was given to be in real world classroom settings. She will begin her teaching career this August as a 6th grade social studies at Cedar Rapids Prep, a charter school that is launching later this year.
Shannon Raap ’25 MSL has worked at Collins Aerospace for 20 years and is currently a Sr. Manager for the Test Equipment Services Team. Earning her Master of Strategic Leadership degree from Mount Mercy has helped her strengthen her leadership skills and expand her professional network.
Shannon has been able to apply what she’s learned to her day-to-day activities. She said the tools provided through her coursework will help her continue to lead by example and she hopes to become an advocate for others who are considering advanced education for their personal and professional growth.
