About
Dr. Louison began working as faculty in the psychology program at Mount Mercy in 2022. During this time, she also taught several neuroscience-related courses for the MFT program. Dr. Louison deeply enjoyed her time as an assistant professor of psychology. However, in 2025, she was offered the opportunity to become the director of the Olson MFT Clinic and to join the MFT faculty. As an alumnus of the MMU MFT master’s and doctoral programs, she was thrilled at the idea of joining the program and leading the Olson Clinic.
Dr. Louison received her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount Mercy University. She is a Mustang through-and-through; she received her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount Mercy, and her BS in Psychology from MMU, as well. Dr. Louison’s clinical and research interests center upon neuroscience and neurofeedback. She has studied and has worked clinically with a wide range of symptoms and diagnoses, including body dysmorphic disorder, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and anxiety-related disorders. She is a registered play therapist with specialized training in working with children who are neurodivergent.
