Her current dissertation, Neurofeedback in the Treatment of Body Dysmorphic Disorder: A Pilot Study, provides a narrow focus on research about Body Dysmorphic Disorder Rebecca is also working on other body dysmorphia research and has published a number of articles on several topics, including interventions for the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer patients (specifically breast, head and neck, and metastatic), and others. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Rebecca is interested in the clinical applications of psychology, such as how it impacts individual functioning and lived experiences. Rebecca’s track in the MA-MFT program is neuroscience with clinical interests in neurofeedback and Body Dysmorphic Disorder. She is also interested in Autism Spectrum Disorder/Neurodivergence. Rebecca states that she is “a proud Mustang through and through!” She has been a part of the MMU community and has been on campus in one way or another for over a decade. Her position at Mount Mercy is Rebecca’s first full-time teaching position, and she is excited to provide a clinical perspective to MMU’s psychology faculty.

In her free time, Rebecca dotes on her kids and her dogs. She is an avid anglophile (a love for all things British) and reader; she can always be found reading in her downtime.
