About

Ann Davidshofer joined Mount Mercy in 2019 as assistant professor of nursing.

She has been teaching full-time for three years, and previously served as a clinical adjunct faculty for Mount Mercy in 2012 and an instructional adjunct faculty in the master of science in nursing program in 2015. Davidshofer teaches sophomore holistic health assessment, nursing skills for the journey, pathways to professional nursing, senior level site evaluator for complex concepts clinical immersion, and a general studies health course.

Davidshofer’s clinical background includes experience in critical care, emergency, medical, and surgical. In addition to clinical experience, she developed education programs for several critical care units and served in the management role. Her passion is teaching others how to improve the delivery of health care for all populations.

As a member of the American Nurses Association, Iowa Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International, Kappa Xi chapter, Emergency Nurse Association, and Critical Care Nursing Association, Davidshofer keeps up with current issues, trends, and ideas within the health care field.

In her spare time, Davidshofer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, home decorating, shopping, and weekend adventures.
