Adjunct Faculty | Computer Science

Position Summary

Mount Mercy University is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach CS 105 – Fundamentals of Computer Science in our undergraduate programs for the Fall 2025 Semester. This course is taken predominantly by our computer science and management information systems major, but also by some students that want to start learning about computer science and coding.

  • CS 105 – Fundamentals of Computer Science meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30-1:50 and Fridays from 12:00-1:50.

Candidates should have a doctorate or masters’ degree in computer science or a related field, or be working towards completion of their degrees. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Instructors should be proficient in teaching coding in Java. Screening of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
