Preparing the next generation of leaders

Hands-on experience sets you apart.

Our Teaching Licensure Program (Second Degree) is a fast-tracked degree program for individuals who want to teach and already hold a bachelor’s degree but do not hold a teaching license. Students enrolled in this program will receive a Bachelor of Science in Education.

After graduation, you will be fully licensed to teach in the State of Iowa and will join the strong tradition of Mount Mercy educators making an impact on future generations.

Our program prepares successful students for licensure within the state of Iowa and is is approved by the Iowa Department of Education. The curriculum may not meet licensure requirements in other states.

I believe many kids are being led down the wrong path. I also believe that if I can help a few kids get onto the right path and create a better future, then I have achieved something meaningful with my life.
