Preparing the next generation of lab professionals

Become a part of a progressive future in science.

Cutting-edge science and medical training provide you with the tools to succeed in the career you’re passionate about. Through our unique and challenging 3+1 program, you’ll graduate with a full year of professional lab experience through an affiliated hospital, allowing you to complete your studies in four years rather than the typical five.

Our students are part of a fun, passionate campus culture that understands how science can be accessible and beneficial to all people. Science Club brings together like-minded students and faculty who engage and learn from one another. Through activities such as CheMMUsical and Science Fun Night, students share their love for learning and discovery with campus as well as the greater Cedar Rapids community.

Mount Mercy University's medical laboratory science curriculum provided me with the skills I needed to excel in the program and make a future career using these skills.

Work toward common goals.

Students learn through hands-on experience in our laboratory classes and may participate in on- and off-campus research. Mount Mercy’s dedicated faculty prepare you to do more with your degree through individual faculty advising.
