Business with a concentration in health services

Combining core leadership principles with Mount Mercy University’s established business curriculum provides health care administration graduates with leadership skills for a variety of professional health care settings.

Students live in a hybrid academic world, learning the unique needs to be successful in the business of healthcare. This approach enables students to graduate with the best possible education in a diverse, in-demand and ever-growing field of study.

Build off previous experiences by transfering up to 75 credits form an Iowa community college or up to 93 credits form a regionally accredited 4-year university. Veterans may also earn credit for military training via the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES).

Our flexible block schedule for working adults allows you to gain a well-rounded background in business with a concentration in health services issues, including: regulation, law, compliance, informatics, and financial issues.

Health care administration majors in this plan of study are required to complete an internship or practicum experience.
