Join us on Monday, May 6, for the Golden Horseshoes at 5:30 PM!

The Golden Horseshoes is an annual awards ceremony held to honor our Mustang's athletic accomplishments throughout the year! An alumni speaker will open our ceremony with a speech, followed by the presentation of both individual and team awards. Snacks will be provided.

Award categories

Given to one male athlete. Voters will consider accomplishments achieved while participating in intercollegiate athletics.
Given to one female athlete. Voters will consider accomplishments achieved while participating in intercollegiate athletics.
Given to one male and one female student-athlete. Must have a minimum 3.5 grade point average and participated in athletics for at least two years (or be in their second year of competition). Voters will consider a combination of success in the classroom as well as their sport(s).

Freshman or transfer student-athlete who has excelled above their peers in their first year at MMU.

An award given by CSA to a “behind the scenes” staff member who has greatly impacted the lives of our student-athletes.
An award given to the coaching staff with the most success during their season.
A team award given out to the team with the most outstanding season.
A team award given out to the team with the most outstanding season.
An award given out for the best performance in the Heart of America Conference Tournament or NAIA National Competition.

 

Committee will consider performances until the selection of finalists deadline in this category.

An award given out for the best individual play during any competition. Must have video of play or a vivid description of the play and the impact it had on the game/performance.
