About

Tom Ksobiech joined Mount Mercy in 2020 as the Dean of Graduate and Adult Programs.

In this position, Ksobiech is charged with providing leadership and strategic direction to the graduate and adult programs. This includes developing relationships with outside partners to produce excellent recruitment results, working with the program directors to strengthen academic policies, processes, and student progress, and encouraging his direct reports to perform with efficiency and innovation.

Prior to arriving at Mount Mercy, Ksobiech worked for fourteen years at the University of Alabama School of Law in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. As the Associate Dean for Administration and Communication, he was responsible for managing the operations of the law school, including human relations, purchasing, student concerns, and faculty matters. He maintained and analyzed the relevant data for national rankings. At Alabama Law, Ksobiech also served stints as the Asst. Dean for Career Services and Asst. Director of Admissions. He counseled students and frequently represented the law school.

Ksobiech taught Legal Ethics, Products Liability, and Law Office Management as an Adjunct Professor. His articles have been printed in industry publications, and he has given formal presentations for groups ranging from high school students to Boards of Directors. He also was a practicing litigator for six years before beginning his career in higher education.

In his spare time, he enjoys running, hiking with his wife and rescue dog, and watching his son play basketball and soccer.
