About

Megan Bogard, Assistant Professor of Nursing, has been teaching since 2020. She joined Mount Mercy University as an adjunct professor in 2021 and became full-time in 2023.

Bogard taught clinical rotations for Mount Mercy in 2021. She is now full-time teaching sophomore-and junior-level nursing courses while facilitating simulation experiences for her students.

In addition to teaching, Bogard has worked at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s Hospital in the Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation department since 2017. She loves her work and finds it extremely rewarding. In 2020, she became a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse.

Bogard strives to incorporate social/emotional, collaborative, and innovative learning into her courses. She hopes this will make her nursing students as well-rounded as possible. Outside the classroom, Bogard spends most of her time with her husband, who is a teacher and Iraq War Veteran, four kids, and her dog. When she is not busy with her children's activities, she loves to paint, cook, and garden.
