Lecturer of Nursing Stacy Lepsch joined Mount Mercy in 2010, after having served as an adjunct instructor and guest lecturer at Mount Mercy since 2003. She has teaching experience at Kirkwood Community College, Fetal Heart Monitoring Practices and Principles, and Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. She holds an Association of Arts degree in medical assisting from Kirkwood Community College as well.
Lepsch has extensive experience as a Birthplace-Labor and Delivery staff nurse at Mercy Medical Center, where she also served in the Pulmonary/General Medical Unit. She has also served as a medical assistant with Internists, P.C., in Cedar Rapids.
She is the recipient of a Master's of Science in Nursing Scholarship and Ann Overland Scholarship from the University of Iowa, where she also was named to the Chancellor's List. In 2001 she was inducted into Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. She has also received the St. Luke's Health Care Foundation Scholarship Nursing Excellence Award, as well as the Nurses of Action and Vision Award and the Co-Curricular Award from Mount Mercy.
Lepsch is a member of the National League of Nursing, the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, and the honor society Sigma Theta Tau.
She volunteers at Novak Elementary School in Marion, where she helps with third grade math, the Reading Counts program, and spelling bees. Lepsch and her family enjoy camping, boating, skiing, dirt bike riding and kayaking.
