Directions to Campus

Campus Map

  • Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. in the Busse Center and includes a continental breakfast for you and your guests.  Parking is available in the Prairie Drive Lot (see campus map) and guides will direct you to the Busse Center. The day’s program will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will conclude at approximately 1:00 p.m.  Optional campus tours and special talent auditions/interviews will be offered following the program.
  • Students please dress comfortably, but appropriately.  “Business casual” is fine, but it’s winter in Iowa and we’ll be moving between buildings on campus – so you’ll still want a coat!

What to Expect

  • Students attending will participate in a 10 minute casual interview with a Mount Mercy faculty member.  The interview helps us get to know you better and helps you learn more about us!
  • We will also have you fill out an Activity and Service Chart during the event.
  • In addition to interviews, there will be an academic information fair, financial aid panel, alumni panel, and other sessions where you can learn more about us and meet members of the Mount Mercy community (students, faculty, staff, and alumni).
  • To be considered for the Holland Full Tuition Scholarship, you must have achieved a 3.7 cumulative high school GPA and a composite ACT of 26.  In addition to the interview on Scholarship Day, students will also need to complete an essay or creative project. For more information, click here.
  • You may also audition/interview for $3,000 Special Talent Scholarships following the Scholar Day luncheon (optional for students interested in music, theater, art and design, or creative writing).
  • While it is best if you can participate this day, please contact us if you have a conflict or need to arrange an alternative date or time prior to February 20, 2016.

  • Scholarship Day is focused on high school students who have been admitted to Mount Mercy University as incoming freshmen for fall, 2016.
  • You must be admitted to the University before January 30, 2016 to participate.
  • If you have not yet applied, or if you have not completed all the steps of the application process (such as submitting official transcripts and standardized test scores), please do so as soon as possible.

Be sure to contact your Admissions Counselor if you have questions! Take a moment to review our other scholarship and grant opportunities as well!

    * Due to campus event conflicts, we had to move Scholarship Day from February 13th to February 20th.  Some previous admission materials listed Saturday, February 13th.  The date has officially been moved to February 20th.  Thank you for understanding!
