Scholarship Day is a great way to earn additional scholarship dollars to attend Mount Mercy University.  Scholarships of $500 up to full-tuition are available (renewable for 4 years).

  • Scholarship Day is focused on high school students who have been admitted to Mount Mercy University as incoming freshmen for fall, 2016.
  • You must be admitted to the University before January 30, 2016 to participate.
  • If you have not yet applied, or if you have not completed all the steps of the application process (such as submitting official transcripts and standardized test scores), please do so as soon as possible.

How do I sign up?

What happens on Scholarship Day?

  • Students attending will participate in a 10 minute casual interview with a Mount Mercy faculty member.  The interview helps us get to know you better and helps you learn more about us!
  • In addition to interviews, there will be an academic information fair, financial aid panel, alumni panel, and other sessions where you can learn more about us and meet members of the Mount Mercy community (students, faculty, staff, and alumni).
  • Following the luncheon, students may also audition or interview for a Special Talent scholarship ($3,000 per year) in Art & Design, Music, Theatre, Art, or Writing after the luncheon.  Please note your interest in auditioning on the RSVP card.  For audition/portfolio requirements, please see Special Talent scholarships are in addition to scholarship dollars earned at Scholarship Day (except the full tuition).
  • Campus tours will also be available after the luncheon.

How do I get considered for the Full Tuition Scholarship?

  • To be considered for the Holland Full Tuition Scholarship, you must have achieved a 3.7 cumulative high school GPA and a composite ACT of 26.
  • You must attend Scholarship Day.
  • You also need to submit an essay (no more than 750 words), PowerPoint, or other creative project that addresses the question below.  Essays and creative projects should be sent to the admission office, postmarked no later than Saturday, February 20th
