Safe Zone Training Opportunities

Training will be scheduled at least once per semester.

Training 1: Basic Safe Zone
Gain the foundational knowledge needed to be an effective ally to LGBTQ students. Completion allows participant to be an ally and display a Safe Zone sticker. Training I must be completed in order to move on to the other trainings in the series.

Training 2: Advanced Issues
Move from theory to practice through becoming more confident and empowered, learning how to self-educate, sharing your own experiences to the group, and participating in role-playing exercises.prerequisite: Safe Zone Training 1

Training 3: Intersectionality & Trans Community
Gain foundational knowledge about intersectionality within the LGBTQ community. Also provides a foundation for understanding of the transgender community.
