Dr. Richard Barrett has worked in each branch of the federal government: clerking for a federal judge, practicing as a trial attorney at the Department of Justice, and writing speeches in the U.S. Senate. He has lived in seven U.S. states, spent time in France, Italy, and Greece, and has traveled to some unusual countries including Lithuania, Guinea (Conakry), the United Arab Emirates, and Georgia (the former Soviet Republic). Dr. Barrett speaks French, reads ancient Greek, and knows a little Georgian, Malinke, and Khmer.
