This yearly award is given to two Enactus advisors who have advanced the Enactus organization throughout the school year and who have made significant contributions to Enactus students and the campus team.
“It was during my time on Mount Mercy’s SIFE (Enactus) team where I learned some of my first lessons about being a good teammate, about leadership, and about giving back to the community thanks to a great group of friends and advisors like Tom Castle,” said Klein. “I have been inspired since that time to stay involved with Enactus and honored to serve as the Mount Mercy Enactus advisor since I returned to Mount Mercy in 2014. When I learned alums and current students nominated me, I was humbled to receive that call knowing the inspirational impact these students have had on our campus, community, and myself.”
Founded in 1975, Enactus aims to engage the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders.
Klein has led the MMU Enactus team to the Sweet 16 spot for the last four years. Out of 400 national teams and over 80 teams that competed, Enactus placed within the Top 12 at the 2019 National Expo.
“The entire team is thrilled that Nate was recognized with this honor,” said Annie Ertz, co-president of Enactus. “Nate’s leadership goes beyond a club advisor. He has been a role model, mentor, and a servant-leader our team. Nate has made meaningful connections with each person on the team and helps bring out the best of each person.”
Klein will receive a plaque of recognition and an all-expense paid trip to the Enactus World Cup being held in September in Utrecht, Netherlands.
