CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Second-seeded Mount Mercy couldn't shake seventh-seeded Ashford in Thursday's quarterfinal, but the 12th-ranked Mustangs were finally able to pull away late and advanced to the semifinals of the 2012 Midwest Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Tournament with a 77-65 victory over the Saints at Hennessey Recreation Center.

LA CROSSE, Wis. -- A double-digit halftime lead didn't hold up for Viterbo (Wis.) on Saturday as the Mount Mercy men's basketball team dominated the second period to snap a three-game road losing streak with a 64-59 win over the V-Hawks in a Midwest Collegiate Conference regular season finale at R.W. Beggs Gymnasium.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- After Mount Mercy junior forward Alex Coleman tied the game with a pair of free throws with 16 seconds to go, Iowa Wesleyan's Donnie Osborne hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to beat the Mustangs, 75-72, in a Midwest Collegiate Conference men's basketball game at Ruble Arena on Wednesday.

It all started with a shirt that said one word: “single.” When Mindy Lawrence Chrisman ‘05 noticed the shirt Eric Chrisman ’05 was wearing, she was immediately interested in learning more about him. “From the first moment that I saw him, I knew that I had to meet him. His shirt was proof that he must have a great sense of humor,” Mindy said.
