SPRINGFIELD, Mo./OLATHE, Kan. – The Mustangs concluded conference play this weekend with two doubleheaders on the road. After splitting the first pair of contests against Evangel University, 6-2 and 3-9, the Mustangs followed up with another split against MidAmerica Nazarene University, 4-7 and 11-5. With the conclusion of regular season action, the Mustangs finish 30-20 overall and 21-15 in the Heart of America Conference.On Friday, the Mustangs jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first inning and cruised over the Crusaders with a 10-hit game.

LAKE OZARK, Mo. – The Mustangs concluded their 2018-19 season this week at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship held at Osage National Golf Course. After rounds one and two, the Mustangs sat in second place and fell to third place after a third and final round. With a three-round score of 1015, the Mustangs trailed five strokes behind Grand View University and 81 strokes behind the 16th nationally-ranked William Penn University. Multicultural Fair

Mount Mercy University will celebrate its students and the diverse cultures they represent at the annual Multicultural Fair on Thursday, May 2, 5–8 p.m. More than 20 cultures will be represented through posters, artifacts, apparel, music, food and other items. Table displays will begin in the Sisters of Mercy University Center at 5 p.m., a show will be held in McAuley Auditorium at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served in Betty Cherry Heritage Hall at 7 p.m.

PERU, Neb. – Tonight the Mustangs faced the Bobcats of Peru State College in a conference doubleheader. After sweeping this team just five days prior, the Mustangs completed the series sweep taking both games this evening 7-0 and 7-1. The Mustangs are rolling on an eight-game winning streak improving to 28-18 overall and 19-13 in the Heart of America Conference.In game one, the Mustangs raced out of the gates throwing one run up on the scoreboard in the top of the first.
Scholarship Fest

Mount Mercy University prides itself on the experiential learning opportunities afforded to its students. Often, these opportunities come in the form of faculty-led research or projects—culminating in the day-long annual Scholarship Festival. To celebrate student work, Scholarship Festival will take place on Monday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. More than 70 students in majors from every academic department are presenting unique projects. DUBUQUE, Iowa – Last night the Mustangs squared off against the Pride of Clarke University in a conference doubleheader. After taking the first game 4-1, the Mustangs battled the Pride into extra innings before coming out on top 4-2.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – After an evening of non-conference action, the Mustangs jumped back in to Heart of America Conference play to sweep the Bobcats of Peru State College. The Mustangs fended off a late comeback effort by the Bobcats to take game one 6-5.

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Both Mustang track and field squads finished in third place at the Good Friday Invite hosted by the University of Dubuque at Chalmers Field and Miller Track.First place finishes all came on the women's side this week as Kathryn Vander Poel (SR/Bakersfield, Calif.) finished atop the podium in the 800 Meters with a time of 2:20.87.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Mustangs got back into the win column this afternoon with a sweep of Robert Morris University in a non-conference doubleheader. Not only did the Mustangs win both, but successfully kept the Eagles off the scoreboard taking the first game 6-0 followed by an 8-0 victory in the second. The Mustangs move to 22-18 on the season.In game one, the Mustangs scored three runs in the bottom of the first and three more in the sixth on 10 hits.

CANTON, Mo. – Having dropped the last five, the Mustangs were desperate to get back into the win column. However, the Mustangs were edged in two close battles by the Wildcats of Culver-Stockton College. Game one resulted in a walk-off 3-2 win for the home team followed by another close win, 5-4, for the Wildcats. With these losses, the Mustangs drop to 20-18 overall and 13-13 in the Heart of America Conference.In game one, both teams were held scoreless until the fifth inning when the Mustangs threw up two runs on the board. The Wildcats followed with two of their own later in the inning.

LAMONI, Iowa – After dropping two tough battles just 48 hours prior, the Mustangs faced the Yellowjackets of Graceland University in another conference doubleheader. The Mustangs' efforts came up short tonight, 3-7 and 6-9, giving the Yellowjackets a complete conference series sweep.

FORT DODGE, Iowa – The Mustangs fired an opening round team score of 292 (+8) to lead the Iowa Central Invitational by 12 strokes after the first day thanks to an opening round 66 (-5) by Will Bruyeres (SR/Brisbane, Australia). On day two, the Mustang maintained the lead taking the title at the Fort Dodge Country Club.
