Baldwin City/Atchison, Kan. - In a weekend road trip to Kansas, the Mustangs would battle against two Heart of America Conference opponents. After falling to Baker University Saturday evening, the Mustangs would lose a heartbreaker to Benedictine College less than 24 hours later on Sunday afternoon. The Mustangs dropped another weekend of away conference play. Mount Mercy moves to 14-9 overall and 3-7 in the Heart of America Conference.On Saturday, September 29, the Mustangs would duel the Wildcats to take the first set 26-24.

Amana, Iowa - The Mustangs hosted the True North Shootout at Amana Colonies Golf Club yesterday. The day would consist of two 18-hole rounds.

The use of excessive force by the police continues to strain relationships with certain historically marginalized groups in society. Retired police chief David Couper will join the Mount Mercy University community on Wed., Oct. 3, at 6:30 p.m. in Flaherty Community Room to examine this issue and provide recommendations to improve these relationships.

Forest City, Iowa - After eight-straight Heart of America conference matches, the Mustangs traveled to face the Waldorf University Warriors for a Wednesday night non-conference matchup. Prior to tonight's match the Warriors held a 1-12 record. The Mustangs were able to snap a four-match skid by defeating the Warriors 3-1 (25-20, 25-16, 21-25, 25-21).

Oskaloosa, Iowa - The Mount Mercy Women's Golf Team placed second at the Statesmen Classic hosted by No. 13 William Penn University at Edmundson Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday.

Newton, Kan. - The Mustangs took a road trip south to compete in The Mid-South Classic at Sand Creek Station Golf Course. The tournament was hosted by the 2018 NAIA reining champions, Oklahoma City Stars. The field of nine teams would play 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 on Tuesday.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa - The national powerhouse, Grand View University Vikings, came to town tonight. The Vikings received the number two spot in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top 25 poll. Despite the history of praise behind Grand View, the Mustangs were not to be taken lightly. Midway through the match, the Mustangs nearly gave the Vikings their first loss in a conference set this season. However, the Mustangs were not able to overcome the strong attack of the Vikings. Mount Mercy would fall tonight 0-3 (15-25, 23-25, 16-25).

Marshall/Springfield, Mo. - This weekend the Mustangs traveled to Missouri to continue their Heart of America conference play. Following an undefeated weekend at home, the Mustangs would drop two matches this weekend against Missouri Valley College and Evangel University. The Mount Mercy Women's Volleyball Team has completed just over half of their regular season schedule. After three straight losses, this moves the Mustangs to 13-6 on the season and 3-4 in the Heart of America Conference.On Friday, September 21, the Mustangs fell to Missouri Valley College 0-3 (25-27, 2--25, 16-25).

Moravia, Iowa - With one tournament under their belts, the Mount Mercy Men's Golf Team traveled to compete in The Warrior Challenge at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake. The tournament was hosted by the 2018 NJCAA Division 1 reining champions, Indian Hills CC. The competitive field of teams would play 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 on Tuesday.
