Mount Mercy University prides itself on the experiential learning opportunities afforded to its students, both on and off campus. Often, these opportunities come in the form of faculty-led research or projects—culminating in the day-long annual Scholarship Festival. To celebrate student work, Scholarship Festival will take place on Wednesday, May 2 from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. More than 60 students in majors from every academic department are presenting unique projects.

Mount Mercy University will showcase Mustang pride throughout the community during its first-ever day of giving on Tuesday, May 1. #HaveMercyGiveMercy will be a 24-hour effort for students, alumni and friends to show Mount Mercy spirit, celebrate together and give back to MMU.
Multicultural Fair

Mount Mercy University will celebrate its international students and the diverse cultures they represent at the annual Multicultural Fair on Thursday, April 26, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in the Sisters of Mercy University Center Commons. The fair will feature nearly 20 stations, representing many cultures and countries through posters, artifacts, apparel, music, food and other items.

New date: Wednesday, May 2 Mount Mercy University and the Cedar Rapids Community School District are teaming up for a service project on Wednesday, April 18. More than 35 students from Coolidge, Grant and Van Buren elementary schools will build and deliver care packages to benefit Mission of Hope, a local organization that provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support to those in need.

4/18/18 Dear Campus Community,  As you may know, there have been several social media and news reports this week related to a report of sexual assault on our campus.  I want to be clear: sexual assault is reprehensible and should never be a part of any community—certainly not a learning community and definitely not the Mount Mercy community.
