Mount Mercy University will celebrate its international students and the diverse cultures they represent at the annual Multicultural Fair on Thursday, March 30, from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Sisters of Mercy University Center. The fair will feature 20 stations, representing many cultures and countries through posters, artifacts, apparel, food and other items. Representatives of local organizations will also be in attendance. All are welcome at this free, family-friendly event.

Dr. Matthew Ashley, chair of the Theology Department at Notre Dame University, will present “A Pope on the Margins: Pope Francis’ Vision for the Church” at Mount Mercy University Thursday, March 30, at 7 p.m., in the Chapel of Mercy. Ashley’s talk is co-sponsored by the Mount Mercy University Aquinas Lecture Series and Notre Dame Club of Cedar Rapids/Iowa City. The event is free and open to the public; seating may be limited.

Mount Mercy University received a top 5 spot on Zippia’s 10 Best Colleges for Business Majors in Iowa ranking. Based on data from the National Center for Education Statistics and College Scorecard data from ED.gov, schools were ranked on career results, business emphasis and school performance.

Crews resume field work as spring temperatures set in. The 22-acre athletic complex has been abuzz over winter preparing to welcome six of Mount Mercy's athletic teams home this fall. A busy winter Although most outdoor work was put on pause during the icy winter months, the indoor facilities have seen an incredible amount of activity.
