DES MOINES, Iowa -- Mount Mercy brought home six individual titles and the Mustang men and women each finished fourth at the 2014 Midwest Collegiate Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships this weekend.
OSKALOOSA, Iowa -- The season came to a close for the fourth-seeded Mount Mercy softball team today with a pair of losses to William Penn and St. Ambrose at the Midwest Collegiate Conference Final Four at Penn Field.
RIVERSIDE, Iowa -- Junior Madison Goodfellow finished eighth and sophomore Meg Monson tied for ninth, leading Mount Mercy to fourth place at the 2014 Midwest Collegiate Conference Championships on Monday and Tuesday at Blue Top Ridge Golf Course.
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Fourth-seeded Mount Mercy defeated fifth-seeded Clarke, 3-1, in the first round of the Midwest Collegiate Conference Softball Tournament on Thursday at Tomahawk Park. The Mustangs advance to the MCC Final Four this weekend in Oskaloosa.
Mount Mercy University will reenact a cherished 30-year tradition during the Grotto May Day Celebration on Friday, May 2, from 3 – 5 p.m. at Mount Mercy’s historic Our Mother of Sorrows Grotto. Entertainment will include a reenactment of the 1920s Isadora Duncan scarf dance – once a common practice on campus – and performances by student soloists representing Mount Mercy’s Music Department. Maypole dances and door prizes are just a few of the offerings. The event is free and open to the public; seating may be limited.
