The generosity of Mount Mercy’s community was apparent during a recent Water Portal class fundraiser for Burundi, Africa. Students asked peers to contribute the amount they would typically spend at a vending machine, and by the end of the effort, Mount Mercy students, staff and faculty had donated a total of nearly $1,300 to provide clean drinking water to an African village.

DAVENPORT, Iowa -- The Mount Mercy men's basketball team picked up its second-straight victory over a ranked opponent, leading the entire way in an 83-72 victory over 22nd-ranked St. Ambrose in a Midwest Collegiate Conference opener on Wednesday at Lee Lohman Arena.

DAVENPORT, Iowa -- After trailing by as many as 22 points, Mount Mercy got within two with less than 20 seconds to go, but 21st-ranked St. Ambrose hit four straight free throws down the stretch to hold off the Mustangs, 74-68, in Wednesday's Midwest Collegiate Conference women's basketball opener at Lee Lohman Arena.

As Mount Mercy emerges from the "Polar Vortex" of 2014, we want to celebrate opportunities for green living and community involvement in sustainability.  Through the efforts of Catharine Cashner, Director of International Programs, and Brenda Steinke, Recreation and Wellness Director, thirty-eight students enjoyed a wonderful, October day at the New Bo Market.

Mount Mercy University Board of Trustees has approved a new three-year Strategic Plan that builds upon the university’s mission, values and vision as a Catholic institution of higher learning. The plan is a culmination of work initiated by the entire campus community and directed by the faculty and staff of the Strategic Innovation Committee. Luther rides perimeter shooting to beat MustangsDECORAH, Iowa -- Luther shot better than 55 percent from 3-point range and 81 percent from the free throw line in Saturday's non-conference finale, an 85-72 victory over Mount Mercy at the Regents Center.
