Mount Mercy University hosted a celebration ceremony in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 16. In his welcoming address, President Christopher Blake said it was not a coincidence this special event was being held at an institute of higher education, noting that King was an educated man, inspiring him to lead a movement for equal rights that would change the world.
