Mount Mercy University’s annual Aquinas Lecture Series will be held Monday, April 9, at 7 p.m. in the on-campus Chapel of Mercy. If a loving, all-powerful God exists, why isn’t there more decisive evidence? University of Notre Dame Professor of Philosophy and the Rev. John A. O’Brien Collegiate Chair Meghan E. Sullivan, Ph.D., will address this question during her lecture “The Church and the Hidden God.” Discussing themes from Job, Augustine and contemporary philosophy, the talk will explore the roles of trust, authority and community in overcoming doubt.
