Bob served on the Mount Mercy Board of Trustees from November 7, 1998, until his death on September 19, 2013.  During his tenure, he served on the Campaign Cabinet, the Finance and Investment Committee and the President’s Evaluation Committee.  He was very generous with his time as an out-of-town Trustee and was highly respected by his colleague Board members.  He took his Trustee responsibility very seriously, rarely missing a full Board meeting and almost always participating in committee meetings by phone.  He valued the importance of higher education and was a very generous financial be

Mount Mercy University was selected to receive a $4 million matching grant from The Hall-Perrine Foundation. The grant is to be used toward the university’s athletic complex capital project, which was announced in early June.  “We’re grateful that The Hall-Perrine Foundation has been very supportive of Mount Mercy over the years,” said Interim President Norm Nielsen, “and this, the largest gift Mount Mercy has received from Hall-Perrine to date, will help us accelerate our development of the property.”
