Mount Mercy University’s Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy program has achieved accreditation, making it the only accredited master’s-level program of its kind in Iowa. The accreditation comes through the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE), a specialized accrediting body that certifies master’s, doctoral and post-graduate degree clinical training programs in marriage and family therapy education.

Mount Mercy University President Christopher Blake announced today that the university is seeking comments from the public about Mount Mercy University in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency, the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
