ExploreU World of Technology, Mount Mercy University’s week-long summer science, technology, engineering and math program for middle-school-aged girls, once again earned a generous grant from Transamerica. The grant provides support for program development, student scholarships, mentor scholarships and faculty development.

Through an equal amount of hard work and determination, Mount Mercy University Senior Alyson Schultz earned the opportunity to present at the 19th Annual Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics in early February 2017. Her presentation focused on research and new developments related to speeding up Kruskal’s minimum spanning tree algorithm, a system for graphing information.

Mount Mercy Mustang fans can plan for the week’s sporting events with an updated Android app called MMU Athletics. The appropriately named app, first created by computer science students years ago and recently updated, separates men’s sports from women’s sports, features the current week’s events and holds updated game scores.

Mount Mercy University will offer ExploreU@MMU '13 World of Technology from June 4 - 8 on the Mount Mercy University campus. The one-week summer program is tailored for young girls completing sixth, seventh and eighth grades, and designed to provide fun while learning about science and math.

Mount Mercy’s Department of Natural and Applied Sciences is pleased to announce the unveiling of a student-developed Web program, "Linda," that will benefit nursing students at Mount Mercy. A rollout event will be held on Wednesday, May 16, at 7:00 p.m. in Basile Hall’s Flaherty Community Room.
