Mount Mercy University began its 2015-16 academic year today with the largest enrollment in the university’s nearly 90 year history—an estimated total of 1,857 students. The fall 2015 student body is on track to set records in number of traditional freshmen, residential students, online students, graduate students and international students.

Mount Mercy University's freshman enrollment saw a five percent increase this year and overall enrollment remains steady following a record-breaking year in 2011. For the second year in the institution's history, Mount Mercy is serving over 1,800 students between undergraduate, graduate, and adult accelerated programs.

Mount Mercy University announced that Scott Baumler has been named assistant vice president for enrollment management and dean of admissions. Baumler has served the university since 2010 as dean of admissions. In his new role, Baumler will continue to oversee Mount Mercy's Office of Admissions while also providing leadership for the Office of Financial Aid.

Mount Mercy University welcomed a record number of mid-year students transferring into the institution for the spring 2012 semester.

Mount Mercy University has seen a record increase in fall enrollment across campus-wide demographics, including traditional, adult accelerated and graduate student enrollment.
