Mount Mercy University's CRST International Graduate Center has been selected, for the second year in a row, to host John Maxwell’s powerful Live2Lead simulcast leadership conference on Oct. 9., 7:45 a.m.–1:30 p.m. This event, sponsored by ActionCOACH Heartland, will equip eastern Iowans with new leadership tactics and tools to assist in becoming leaders in the workplace by live broadcasting nationally renowned speakers on the topic of leadership. Live2Lead will broadcast from Atlanta to more than 300 locations in 20 varying countries.

Mount Mercy welcomed 20 freshmen into the STEPS (Striving Towards Engaged and Purposeful Servant-Leadership) program during a special induction ceremony on Thursday, January 3, in Mount Mercy’s Stello Performance Hall.

Mount Mercy students sacrificed a Saturday morning in order to reach out within the community and live out the call to serve during Spring Outreach. More than 60 students joined together in teams to perform tasks such as yard work, staining decks, cleaning and volunteering for Cedar Rapids' non-profits.
