Mount Mercy University is now offering online courses to audit at a greatly reduced tuition rate for staff members, teachers, and volunteers in the Catholic Archdiocese of Dubuque parishes and schools. The Center of Learning for the Church (CLC), created in consultation with the Archdiocese, allows for any five-week, online undergraduate course to be audited for the low cost of only $150 per course, with the approval of an MMU advisor.

Mount Mercy University will offer an Online, Accelerated Undergraduate & Graduate Programs Information Session on Thursday, Oct. 26, 5:30–7 p.m., at the university’s CRST International Graduate Center. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet academic advisors and program directors, tour the Graduate Center, review program information, and meet other interested students in a relaxed, open-house setting.

Mount Mercy University is partnering with the Iowa Department of Corrections to offer a 10 percent tuition scholarship for employees who enroll in any of the university’s undergraduate accelerated, online or graduate programs.

Mount Mercy University was ranked in the nation’s top 40 Best Online Bachelor’s in Human Resources by College Choice. Based on student resources, level of interaction with peers and professors, and cost, Mount Mercy was awarded for having one of the best online human resource programs and being only one of ten undergraduate programs to be recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management.

Mount Mercy University will graduate the largest class in its history during commencement exercises Sunday, May 22, at the U.S. Cellular Center in downtown Cedar Rapids. The Class of 2016 includes nearly 400 undergraduate students and 175 graduate students. The class is also the first to include students who finished their degree in a completely online format.
