CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CBS2/FOX28) — The meaning behind the anti-Trump protests can sometimes get lost in the noise, so in an effort to support those who are most vulnerable, many people are turning to a quiet act of solidarity.
Some have chosen to clip one safety pin on their clothes to support those who might have felt attacked during Donald Trump’s campaign.
David Butts, assistant director of diversity and engagement at Mount Mercy University, said it’s part of the ebb and flow of social movements.
