Peter Fegley here! I’m a recent grad of MMU, earning my master’s degree in strategic leadership in June 2018 and have been pretty busy since then. In August, I got married to my best friend, Lara, and we live in Tiffin, Iowa, with our dog Molina (Mo).
I started at MMU as an admissions counselor in 2015, recruiting students throughout the state of Illinois. After three years of working with students hoping to come to Mount Mercy, I got the opportunity to work in the Development Office which was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. There are so many things I love about my job—the strategic thinking, data analysis, writing, and excel sheets all come to mind—but the best part of my job is working with such a fantastic team! I mean look at us, clearly, we are super awesome people who love to have fun!
I spend a majority of my free time cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals (hence, my dog’s name—Molina) and my wife would probably tell you that my intense level of fandom is one of the more annoying things about me. But outside of baseball season, I love attending concerts, playing music (I’m a drummer who also dabbles in guitar, bass, and piano), being outside to go camping, skiing, hiking, etc., and spending time with my outstanding friends and family.
I earned my MSL in June 2018—completion of a lifelong goal! I do miss the comradery with my fellow classmates, the great discussions that always took place, and the relationships I developed with my professors. The connections I made in my MSL program have been life-changing, and I’m so grateful for the support I received from my family, friends, and coworkers.
I always love connecting with potential students and sharing the many reasons why I love being a Mustang!
