Halloween on the Hill a monster bash

Little ghosts and goblins filled the hill last night for Mount Mercy University’s 2017 Halloween on the Hill.

A long-standing Mount Mercy tradition and favorite student-volunteer opportunity, local kids visited campus for a night of ghoulish games, spooky stories, freaky fun, frightening food and trick-or-treating in multi-level haunted house.

“Halloween on the Hill provides a safe, fun environment for kids and families,” said Jamarco Clark, director of volunteerism & service-learning. “Mount Mercy students love interacting with the kids, and it gives them an opportunity to go all out.”

New this year, families were also invited to the opening women’s basketball game against Governors State University, free of charge. Thanks to MMU’s Athletics Department, the little monsters were given a hot dog, popcorn and drink, and a parade of costumes was held during halftime.
