MMU named a top five online college in Iowa

Mount Mercy University was recognized as a top choice for online education in Iowa by, placing in the top five institutions on the list. rankings are instrumental tools for students choosing which online college is best suited for their unique needs.

“Our program is offered in five-week sessions allowing students to complete up to nine courses a year, which sets us apart from other institutions,” said Christine Feit, Mount Mercy’s online program coordinator. “Students focus on one course at a time letting them balance work life and personal commitments, while completing their degree in a timely manner.”

Another distinguishing characteristic is one that resonates throughout Mount Mercy’s online, undergraduate and graduate programs—the personal attention students receive from the university’s faculty and staff members.

“All students work one-on-one with a dedicated academic advisor and have the support of the same academic services that are available to other students including library services, tutoring and career development,” Feit explained. “Mount Mercy’s program size allows us to build individual relationships with our students and be responsive to their needs.”

Mount Mercy offers three online programs—Bachelor of Business Administration in Business, Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management and Bachelor of Science in Nursing—and is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, The Higher Learning Commission.
