Secret artistic talents of faculty, staff on display now

Mount Mercy’s faculty and staff will reveal their artistic talents at the first faculty/staff art exhibit in almost 10 years. An opening reception for the exhibit will take place Oct. 29, 4–6 p.m., at the Janalyn Hanson White Gallery.

“We hope this will bring together campus employees and students and off-campus public,” said John-Thomas Richard, the gallery’s curator. “Exhibit visitors will have the opportunity to see and celebrate the work that our staff and faculty create in their spare time.”

A range of media—from painting and stain glass to fabric arts and ceramics—were used in creating the 17 pieces on display.

The exhibit will remain in place Oct. 29–Nov. 13 and is open Monday–Friday, 4–6 p.m
