Mount Mercy University is pleased to announce that Michelle Beisker has been appointed director of development. Beisker previously served as the chief operating officer at Waypoint, a humanitarian service organization for women, children, and families, in Cedar Rapids.
In her role with Waypoint, Beisker oversaw childcare and critical services divisions, as well as worked to develop local, state, and national relationships for the agency. She has previously served as the chief development officer and director of development at Waypoint.
As director of development at Mount Mercy, Beisker will oversee development activities including securing philanthropic support for the university, while building relationships with university constituent groups. She will also oversee operations for "The Heritage Club," the universities' planned giving program, and will be involved in special campus events.
Beisker holds a bachelor's degree in Spanish with a minor in business from The University of Iowa. Beisker has been an active member of the Cedar Rapids community as a 2007 graduate of the Leadership for Five Seasons, and has been involved in the College Community School District having served on the Prairie School Foundation Board, Post Prom Committee chair, Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) president, and classroom volunteer.
