Mount Mercy Choir performs with Orchestra Iowa at Brucemore

The Mount Mercy University Choir will lift their voices alongside the Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale and the Coe College Choir for Orchestra Iowa's opening concert at Brucemore, "Crown Imperial."

The show starts on September 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Brucemore Mansion. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.

Mount Mercy's Choir will sing two works alongside the symphony, "Jerusalem," by William Blake, and "I was Glad," by Hubert Parry.

The choirs will present the music of the British and Roman empires, with selections from the Royal Wedding, a September 11 tribute, and Respighi's Pines of Rome.
