Mount Mercy College announced today that enrollment for the Spring 2010 semester has increased 5.6% percent since Spring 2009. Total enrollment for Spring 2010 is 1,671 students. The new enrollment numbers include Mount Mercy’s four distinct student populations of traditional, transfer, adult and graduate students. The enrollment for Spring 2009 was 1,582.
Mount Mercy has seen an increase in student enrollment in its adult and graduate programs, reflecting the institution’s unique ability to meet the needs of all student demographics in the Cedar Rapids and surrounding community. Mount Mercy also recently added two new graduate programs in nursing and counseling, joining Mount Mercy’s already strong programs in business and education.
“As an institution founded by the Sisters of Mercy, Mount Mercy is dedicated to providing a faith-inspired, practical education rooted in our rich Catholic heritage,” says President Christopher Blake. “Meeting the needs of all student demographics, regardless of what stage they are in, is central to Mount Mercy’s mission of serving the community through all aspects of academia.”
