Mary Ann Hindman Grobstich joined Mount Mercy in 2016 as Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of the Health Care Administration, Health Care Navigation, and Health Care Leadership majors. Prior to joining Mount Mercy, Mary Ann worked for Mercy Medical Center, Jones Regional Medical Center, and St. Luke’s Hospital in positions within the departments of Social Services, Spiritual Care, Child Protection, and Behavioral Health.

Health Care Navigation was introduced as a major/minor in 2017, providing an opportunity for students to develop expertise in pursuing a non-clinical path to contribute to the patient experience through health education, networking and advocacy. At Mount Mercy, Mary Ann is working to develop curriculum, internships, and programs that address the current trends and future job market for students seeking fulfilling non-clinical careers in the growing and dynamic health care industry.
