Mount Mercy University is a Catholic, coeducational University founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1928 enrolling approximately 1800 students. The University offers a variety of liberal arts, professional, accelerated, and graduate degree programs.
The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences invites applications for a full-time, ten-month position to work with both the biology and chemistry programs beginning fall 2012. We are looking for a candidate who is broadly trained in the sciences. A minimum of a M.S. degree; laboratory experience is preferred. Duties will include: organization, set-up, and take-down of laboratories, equipment maintenance, supervising work study students, maintaining lab inventory, monitoring the laboratory budget, coordination of chemical waste disposal, and being responsible for adherence to MSDS specifications. Additional duties such as website management, teaching of laboratories, and others may be included depending on the experience and interest of the candidate.
